EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing is an integrative therapeutic treatment especially developed for PTSD, but has been found to be effective with a variety of mental health concerns. Different from traditional "talk therapy"  EMDR integrates the physiology of the brain, with an understanding of how it processes and stores information, so that we are able to resolve traumatic and disturbing experiences.  Typically, this process is more efficient than "talk therapy" alone, which many people find appealing.  For more information regarding EMDR, please click the link below for the EMDR International Association website, or submit a question at the bottom of the page.
